Question 13testing

What happens when you give models a rich playground of CPUs, Proxmox, test data, and disposable environments?

Test whether abundant local compute produces better verification and exploration—or merely more activity and noise.

Starting point

The factory’s confidence still comes largely from test suites. A Dell PowerEdge R740xd can give agents room to create disposable environments, run competing implementations in parallel, reproduce failures, generate test data, and experiment without contending for a narrow shared runner.

What to track

  • How much CPU, memory, storage, and isolation an agent should receive.
  • Which task types benefit from abundant local compute.
  • Whether richer environments improve verification or simply generate more work.
  • Whether provisioning should attach to a runner, Note, Bead, or experiment.

Living record

Infrastructure experiments and their measured effect on agent behavior belong here.
